About FHs of 2015
What is FHS?

FHS (Filipino Heritage Studies)

Students in eleventh and twelfth grades will study the national origin of Filipinos that make up communities across the United States.  They will analyze the reasons for diasporic trasplantation of Filipinos throughout the world, and specifically examine their contributions to the history of the U.S. and the World.  They will also examine the perspectives in relation to different historical experiences of Filipinos here in America.  Through this curriculum, offered only through James Logan High School’s Ethnic Studies department, students will not only exhibit the principles of a culturally and socially conscious person, but will also demonstrate grade and subject level proficiency.  We are proud to offer this curriculum to the students of this communit, as it is truly one based on Project Based Learning, and will offer students a chance to learn more about their community, and in turn participate in shaping and molding the future of this community through the various assignments and projects FHS students will complete.
